As the Tony awards are to the theatre industry, the D and I Gala night is to the local defence industry. With the assistance of local Canberran Erin Molan and comedian Vince Sorrenti, the industry's night of nights, provided entertainment and a comedic element which helped invigorate and energise the crowd.

With champagne only fit for king, (or a General), the night proceeded to approach its crescendo as the minister for Defence Industry made a timely entrance to address the audience and present the Essington Lewis awards.

Anywise would like to formally congratulate the Essington Lewis award winners, all very worthy recipients of the awards, and looks forward to next years proceedings.
